SquadMeet

Create the SquadMeet shortcut

For iPhone and iPad. You only do it once and it takes about two minutes.

1. Create the shortcut

  1. Open the Shortcuts app and tap +.
  2. Tap Add Action, search for Run JavaScript on Web Page and add it.
  3. Delete the sample code in the action and paste this:
    if (/(^|\.)ome\.tv$/.test(location.hostname)) {
      var s = document.createElement('script');
      s.src = 'https://squadmeet.app/squad.js?v=' + Date.now();
      document.documentElement.appendChild(s);
    } else {
      location.href = 'https://ome.tv/';
    }
    completion(true);
  4. At the top, tap the shortcut's name → Rename and call it SquadMeet.
  5. Tap ⓘ (Details) and turn on Show in Share Sheet. If it asks what it receives, choose Safari web pages.

2. Allow it to run scripts

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Shortcuts → Advanced and turn on Allow Running Scripts.

3. Use it

  1. Once: open ome.tv in Safari, tap aA (or ⋯) → Website Settings and turn on Request Desktop Website. Safari will remember it for ome.tv.
  2. Every time: on ome.tv, tap Share → SquadMeet. The first time it asks for permission for that site.
  3. Tip: at the bottom of the Share sheet, Edit Actions → add SquadMeet to your favorites to keep it at the top.

If you tap it on any other page, it takes you to ome.tv.

What does the shortcut do?

The same as the computer extension: it loads SquadMeet on the ome.tv page you have open. The code is the one above and nothing else: it doesn't read or send anything from the page.
